Beautiful Walnut Effect Interior Trim

If you’re looking for a car for work, for the family, a bit of weekend adventure and a whole lot of fun – here it is! This is a superb Freelander. It looks good, feels agile, goes well, supremely capable off road, nicely finished and well equipped. You can understand why they have become the ultimate in flexible motoring – toughness, durability, comfort and elegant style all wrapped into one car. Not only that but you have an ideal workhorse due to its toughness; a perfect family car with plenty of space; a great tourer due to it being so incredibly comfortable – it is the most comfortable vehicle I have ever driven – AND a great toy – this baby can go most places its big brother the Defender can go and does it in style! (Not that we have tried, always thought it was too nice to get it dirty!)

The engine is in tiptop condition, this vehicle is hugely capable, highly desirable and drives like a dream. On the motorway it just cruises beautifully, and on the small roads it’s handling is just right – not too touchy, not too insensitive, it feels solid on the road. The brakes have a similar quality, giving it excellent stopping ability. It is a fabulous car to drive, being at home both around town and on the motorway – its top speed is illegal everywhere! The driving position – I love being sat up higher than most vehicles – gives you nearly no blind spots, loads of leg room both in the front and the back – your rear passengers will feel as though they are in a limo!

At the wheel of this vehicle you feel a little set apart – and not only because of the high driving position, and the fact that all your friends are envious! The detail touches help. The way the window at the rear goes down so you can load your shopping without having to open the back door – or of course give your dogs plenty of air if you have any. All of the useful storage areas and flat surfaces that seem to exist for everything you could possibly want to carry. Electric windows in both the front and back. The rear seats fold down better than anything I’ve come across, allowing for tonnes of luggage space if you have bulky items to transport. Beautiful walnut effect interior trim sets it apart. I could go on and on.

This Freelander has the safety and purpose of a 4×4 with the comfort of a limo. It is solid on the road and is very responsive without being too touchy. It drives smooth and true and takes corners in a way that 4×4’s have no right to! The ‘Hill Descent Control’ system, when selected in first or reverse gear, uses the anti-lock brakes to automatically maintain a descent speed of 5.6 mph. Should the track get slippery or become more undulating, this will be reduced to 4.4 mph. You should see what these vehicles can do, there are some great videos on YouTube!

What is really so great about this Freelander is that it is a real head turner, a fantastic looking vehicle that looks far more expensive than it actually is.

This Freelander has a 1.8 litre petrol engine, which means that it has good fuel economy for the prestige of the vehicle and avoids the high taxation classes that come with the heavy gas guzzling 4x4s. The Freelander has just passed its MOT, valid until 30 September 2015, with absolutely NO advisory points.

The Good Bits:

– This Freelander has a full twelve months MOT with ABSOLUTELY NO ADVISORY POINTS.
– This Freelander has been completely checked over, thoroughly serviced and comes with our 3 month warranty;
– The Freelander is mechanically and cosmetically sound – no funny noises or rattles;
– There is no sign of rust, as can be seen on the photos;
– The Freelander has recently had the cambelt changed;
– The Freelander has new tyres;
– The clutch has been changed in the last 18 months;
– It has just had a new exhaust mid section;
– This Freelander drives like new;
– Beautiful walnut effect interior trim.
The Not So Good Bits:

After all my praising of this vehicle you are going to think that I have no bad bits to tell you. Unfortunately I do have two very minor cosmetic issues:
– There is a small dent in the rear door as can be seen on the photographs;
– There is a crack in one of the additional fog lights, this is not letting in water at the moment.
This is a 10 year old vehicle and so does have age related marks.

I must re-emphasise that this Freelander drives like a dream – being Freelander Specialists we know our Freelanders, and this one drives particularly well. This Freelander has such style, comfort and versatility, no wonder they are the best all-rounders in their class.
